Greek National Team veteran Dimitri Kourtis added another championship to his career, helping ParmaClima capture the 2026 Italian Baseball Championship and earning his third Italian title.

Parma defeated San Marino four games to one in the Italian Baseball Series, clinching the championship with a 9–0 victory in Game 5.

Kourtis played an important role out of the bullpen during the series, highlighted by a dominant performance in Game 3. With Parma trailing 5–2, the right-hander entered in relief and delivered four scoreless innings, keeping Parma within striking distance before the offense rallied for a 7–5 victory.

Kourtis returned in Game 4 and recorded two more scoreless outs as Parma won 10–7 to move within one victory of the championship.

The title is the third Italian championship of Kourtis' career, having previously won back-to-back championships with San Marino in 2021 and 2022.

A longtime member of the Greek National Team, Kourtis has represented Hellas across multiple European Championship campaigns while spending much of his club career competing at the highest level of Italian baseball.

With ParmaClima's 2026 championship, Kourtis adds a third Italian title to an already accomplished career.
