Chris Demetral brings decades of professional and international baseball experience to the Greek National Team. After a standout collegiate career at Western Michigan University, Demetral was selected by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 1991 MLB Draft and spent 11 seasons playing professionally, reaching the Triple-A level.

Demetral joined the Greek National Team ahead of the 2004 Athens Olympic Games, helping Greece capture the silver medal at the 2003 European Championship before representing Greece on home soil at the Olympics. He remained a fixture of the National Team for more than a decade, competing in multiple European Championships and other international events through 2014.

In 2023, Demetral returned to the federation as Manager of the Senior and U23 team bringing his experience as both a professional player and longtime Greek international to the next generation of Greek baseball.
